One Year Baby Boo (Week 53)

Sup goons this week was a bit nutty. I got transferred and I'm back down here in Matto Grosso do Sul close to the other area I served in. I'm super glad to be back down here because it was hot as pepper cakes in Rondonopolis. I woke up at like 1:30am the other night and the thermometer showed that it was 91 degrees. It will be nice to sleep in some “normal" weather once again hahaha.

I am a tiny bit short on time but I just am super grateful for the mission these days. I hit one year and it was hands the down gnarliest year of my life. I took some major emotional kidney punches these last 12 months out here, and I realize now how much it has done for my well being. I truly feel like a better person. The thing that I have tried to do the most is just learn and experience everything with an open mind. I feel like so many people close themselves off to the raddest happiness on earth that comes from our Savior Jesus Christ, because “they've already heard that before” or some lame shiz like that. Regardless of what my mind tells me as I go into a situation I do my best to just turn him off and focus on how I feel while I read this thing or go into that place. It's the best thing I've ever decided to do in my life. I find myself happier because of doing this. I invite all you goobers out there to try this out. Maybe if you're having a hard time feeling happy, say a prayer with an open mind and tell God how you are feeling. He loves you. Maybe if you have a friend or family member who bugs the sheitch out of you, try and love them and listen to them with love because nobody is born with anger inside of them. Experiences mark people and leave people messed up sometimes, and maybe that one friend who is always rude to you just needs a tad bit of love to erase the sorrow they feel from their past difficulties. Do your best to keep an open mind, my friends.

As always it was a throat kick to say goodbye to everyone in the old area. Wellington and Vanessa will be missed so much, don't even get me started about their kids. Our District there was the best District I've ever had, and the Zone was just chock full of the raddest missionaries ever. T'was good, but I've got a solid Comp now his name is Elder West and he's from Clearfield Utah. He's such a goober hahah it's gonna be way too funny with this guy. He was a janitor for 4 years.

I love you guys. Time flies when you're having fun!
