Flu (Week 61)
Hello Brethren and Sistren I literally have never worked harder in my life than I did this week. I feel like an actual zombie. I acquired a nice flu also, and it is taking my voice with it and so this whole weekend every time I would talk to someone I would have like level 67 voice cracks hahaa!
We met some of the most rad dudes ever this week. Among them is one named Adriano. He and his wife own this little Brasilian pastry place and we usually pass by and eat there like every couple days. One day we were out working and their whole family walks by, so we go and talk to them. They invite us over to their house, so we go back two days later and just have one of the best lessons I've ever had in the mission. As we were teaching, his pastor freaking walks in their house, right in the middle of our lesson AHAHAH and sits literally next to us but Adriano just did not take his attention off of us once! His pastor eventually just got up and walked out and the Spirit was just gnarly strong. The next time this pastor walks in I'm getting his address.
So Nilson is just a extra level 10 tough person to teach, it has been really tough and we are trying to be patient with him. BUT on the other hand, Lea. She's gonna get baptized this weekend and I could not be more stoked on it. When we met her she had heavy depression, had gotten work release because she was incapable on leaving home, and just was not cool. Nowadays she comes to church, interacts with the members, is working like a madwoman at the same job, and just so so happy. I have never seen so many miracles in the life of a single person in such a short time. I am just so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ. I have truly come to know for myself how real He is. I have felt the crappiest of feelings be washed away in a second simply because I believed that they could be. It's so incredibly simple and I love this gospel.
I ask your pardon for not being that exited this week. This strain 9 Brasilian flu is really an energy sucker. Don't tell my mom I have the flu. Mom if you’re reading this I promise I'm taking my vitamins.
