Carrots - Remember (Week 63)

Hello my fellow bromosapiens, this week was full of so many stunts and arts and crafts and hefty miracles it was rad. I must say, this week we accidentally broke 3 fans. Also we were dying to carve any sort of gourd on Halloween but we couldn't find any such thing. Gotta shout my mom out though... she found a way to send me pumpkin chocolate chip cookies [with Ryker’s friend Anne who just moved here from UT] and I'm just baffled at the level of deliciosity that these cookies contain. I love you mom.

This week I was just planted there in my church pew during Sacrament meeting and the Spirit was like psssssstttt bro, go bear your testimony. I was like uhhhhh but there's like 150 people here that's scary man, and He was like come on man please, so I was like okay. I got up there to bear my testimony and was like all nervous for some reason haha my worn out Elder knees were all shakey. I bore a super quick and super simple testimony about how happy I am and that I know it's because Jesus is helping me do things that truly make me happy. Like every time I hold the door for some old geezer, or bear my testimony or teach someone about Jesus or read the scriptures I just feel happy. I really just gotta tell you guys that God has one sole purpose, and that's so make sure that we are happy, truly happy. If you trust Him, He will make sure you feel like 10000000 bucks.

This week I really had so many thoughts and connections in my brain around the concept of remembering. I have really come to the realization that remembering is one of the most powerful demonstrations of humility one can show. God gives us good experiences and spiritual highs so that we can remember, and use these things to helps us power through crappy times and not bail out. It's so easy for us as humans with the carnalest of minds to forget what God does for us on a daily basis, and most of the time we don't even realize half the ish that we've being given. I really have been doing my 100% best to remember past good experiences that I've had, whether that be with the bros, alone, with a super hot chick in a fast car, or whatever it might be, and to read them again and/or write them down so that I can be better equipped and armed for crappy times. We cannot forget how good God has been to us, and must hope and pray for more of that goodness. It is essential.

So just to end, yes we broke 3 fans this week. Elder Rios broke one of them by throwing a full sized carrot at the one we have in our study room. We then proceeded to make various fan blades out of out pizza boxes to see which one possibly could do the best. After we realized that all of them were horrible we tried to mend the old blade with wire. That sort of worked but was really shakey so then we decided we were going to make a lathe for carrots out of our fan motor hahaha. We were up until like 2 am carving carrots into many different wand types.

Thats all folks!

Someone started a fire and left it unattended, my Eagle Scout blood could not refrain from tending.
